AHA COURSES
- AHA students attend all English, History, Science and Visual
and Performing Arts classes within AHA.
- AHA students can choose from the wide variety of courses in
the large school for Math, Foreign Language, and the part of their
Physical Education requirements not covered by Performing Arts
classes.
- All AHA Freshmen & Sophomores are enrolled in The Arts Wheel,
a sequence of visual and performing arts classes designed to give
students a thorough introduction to all the arts disciplines.
- Included in The Arts Wheel is a selection of:
- Painting & Drawing
- Vocal Music and Percussion
- Ceramics
- Afro-Haitian and Modern Dance
- Photography
- Theater
- Sculpture
- As juniors and seniors, students select an artistic area of
specialization. Students are expected to enroll in the highest
level classes in their area of specialization. These courses include:
- Advanced Placement Visual Arts
- Advanced Theater Projects
- Dance Production
- Advanced Afro-Haitian
- Advanced Photography
- Orchestra-Band
- Jazz Ensemble
